Hello, I'm Bartolomeo. I was born in February 1986 in Drachten, Friesland, and I currently live in Leeuwarden. I'm in tech since 2014, but I've always been interested in computers, eventhough life initially took me in a different direction. I have and currently am working on lot's of awesome projects.
Past
I started my Software Engineering degree in 2015 and re-discovered my passion for building things with code; I wasted no time afterwards. I had done sales earlier in life, but that chapter closed when I got serious about development.
During and after school, I worked for several companies and clients and was involved in many interesting projects. At CIN-ergy I worked on AR/VR hardware and software and a lot of C++ and C# when working with Unity. Those years gave me a solid foundation in game and systems development.
Experience
Besides my professional work, my journey as an indie developer has led to learning a variety of skills beyond my formal education. I started experimenting with web development at the beginning of 2021. By the end of that year I took part in a blockchain hackathon, and after that I did more blockchain-related projects and some side hustles in between.
I landed my first full-time web development job in mid 2023 and stayed until mid 2024. Since then I've been working on tons of interesting projects.
